The benefits of pilates

In the pilates method, every movement is carefully controlled for maximum effect and requires focused concentration. For each and every exercise there are questions you’ll need to ask yourself:

Our lifestyles mean that we all put unnecessary stresses and strains onto our bodies; most of us spend too much time in contracted states, hunched over a desk or behind the wheel of a car. But pilates can alleviate these strains long-term.

The more you use your body correctly during exercise, the more you will use it correctly in everything else you do. When your posture improves, you’ll find that the headaches, tightly contracted muscles, backache and tension that arise from poor posture all fade away.

TOP TIP: In pilates, the control with which exercises are performed is of far greater importance than the number of repetitions. Quality really is superior to quantity.
